Community Health Nurse

Central London Community Health Trust is seeking a skilled Community Health Nurse to join our team. As a Community Health Nurse, you will work closely with our Health Visiting Service to provide high-quality clinical support to families with children aged 0-5. Your primary responsibility will be to assist Health Visitors in delivering the Healthy Child Programme, which focuses on promoting healthy development and well-being in young children.
Main Responsibilities
Assist Health Visitors in conducting clinical interventions and providing advice to parents on positive parenting skills, including understanding and managing child behavior, introducing solid foods, and promoting play and stimulation.
Work with families in various community settings, including homes, clinics, and schools, to support their individual care plans and promote healthy child development.
Participate in health promotion activities, such as planning and implementing programs to promote healthy eating, physical activity, and sleep habits.
Requirements
BTEC Diploma in Child Care or NVQ in Child Care level 3 or equivalent.
Experience working with children and families in a formal health, educational, or social care setting.
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
