About the Role

We are seeking an experienced System Engineering Specialist to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in defining requirements for production lines and rates for the SSNA program.

As a Senior Technical Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and support to engineers and teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring qualification, design assurance, and safety case adequacy through audits and reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical reviews, verify, and sign off on engineering designs
  • Define, document, and share subject expertise and standards to enhance business knowledge
  • Provide technical direction and support to engineers and teams for skill development and capability achievement
  • Underpinning business cases for operations improvements
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure their requirements are considered and incorporated appropriately
Requirements
  • HNC qualification or equivalent degree with extensive operations experience
  • Stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence key parties
  • Demonstrated experience in design engineering
  • Expertise in driving continuous improvement initiatives
