We are looking for a highly skilled Stores Supervisor to join our team at Omega Resource Group in Reading.

Job Summary

This role involves managing resources, coordinating product flow, and ensuring accurate inventory control. You will work closely with the Materials Manager to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all statutory and other regulations.

Key Tasks
  • Coordinate product flow to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain accurate Inventory control via Perpetual Inventory Checks.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and other regulations, including Health, Safety, Environmental & Special conditions imposed by a customer.
  • Cross-train the Stores team to maximise effectiveness & capacity, while minimising potential impact caused by holiday or sickness cover.
  • Provide an effective inbound, storage & inventory issuing system from stores to Production, Suppliers & Customers.
  • Maintain a full traceability system, label goods, issue internal batch numbers & ensure correct identification of materials at all times.
  • Offer a timely kitting service from stores to production or purchasing for sub-contract operations.
  • Coordinate the issue of consumable items to shop floor Supervisors.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience of MRP systems, pick lists, stores locations, lot traceability, and serialisation.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, team player with intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a stores or warehouse team.

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
