Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Automation Professional to join our team at Rockstar Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The ideal candidate will have experience automating deployment and maintenance of infrastructure, comprising network, servers, storage, and compute. They will also be experienced in managing and deploying Windows and Linux servers using DevOps methodology.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Automating deployment and maintenance of infrastructure, comprising network, servers, storage, and compute.
  • Managing and deploying Windows and Linux servers using DevOps methodology.
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Powershell, Python, and Ansible.
  • Collaborating with the development teams to deliver high-quality IT systems infrastructure.

They will also be expected to work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth delivery of IT services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong programming skills in one or more of Powershell, Python, and Ansible.
  • Experience automating IT processes, systems, and deployments.
  • Experience with configuration management systems Puppet and Ansible Tower.
  • A passion for DevOps methodology and 'infrastructure as code'.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

You should also be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including:
