The Support Services Coordinator role within Adult Social Care and Health is an exciting opportunity to shape services that make a real difference to people's lives. As a key member of our team, you will work under Devon County Council's new Hybrid Working Model, providing advice to social care professionals, health workers, and members of the public who have chosen to arrange their own support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake an analysis of information, investigate, and interrogate systems to understand a complete picture of a person's needs and consider options available to them.
  • Support care managers with recommendations and options, working independently after training.
  • Develop a knowledge of local community providers and actively engage with them to develop their services.
  • Present information about the cost and benefits of services, communicating ideas to the immediate and wider Advisor team.
  • Link with commissioning colleagues to share market intelligence, informing new service design and facilitating better support of current and new providers.

Requirements:

  • Confidence in communicating ideas to the team and ability to present information about services.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision after training.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to fulfill all spoken aspects of the role with confidence.
