Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supportive Education Assistant to join our team in a Reception class based centrally in the Walsall area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Level 3 Qualification and SEN experience to make a real difference in the lives of students.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children in a primary setting, be able to commit to full-time hours of 08:30-15:30 from Monday to Friday, and possess extensive experience working with students with additional needs.

About the Role:

  • Working in a Reception class supporting students with a range of complex SEND needs.
  • Provide tailored support for individual students.
  • Will require staff to cover lessons at points in the day to support teacher when possible.

Salary and Benefits: The estimated salary for this role is £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a valued employee of ABC Teachers, you will receive excellent daily rates paid weekly by our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system, guaranteed pay scheme, pension contributions, and access to a dedicated consultant.

Requirements:

  • Need to have had prior experience working with children in a primary setting.
  • Be able to commit to full-time hours of 08:30-15:30 from Monday to Friday.
  • Must have a minimum of a level 3 qualification for this particular role.
  • Have extensive experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Be able to gain references from relevant roles from the last 2 years.
  • Have or be willing to obtain an up-to-date DBS check registered with the update service.
