Framestore's Immersive team is seeking an experienced Animator to join their team on an exciting project. As a Senior Game Animator, you will collaborate with the Animation Lead and Art Director to create high-quality, story-driven animations that capture the project's style and pace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Animation Lead and Art Director to create high-quality animations
  • Work closely with the Tech Anim and Pipeline teams to improve character setups, rigs, and tools
  • Responsible for animating primary and secondary elements, producing motions, gestures, and expressions of three-dimensional computer graphic characters and objects
  • Ensure tasks are completed on schedule, maintaining regular communication with Production and department Leads to meet project deadlines and align expectations

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as an Animator within the Games industry
  • Extensive experience in Unreal Engine or alternative realtime engine(s)
  • Experience with cycle based gameplay animation
  • Demonstrable experience with Maya
  • An understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, texture, and form
  • An understanding of rigs and typical rigging set-ups, animation pipelines, and transferring data between tools

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of stylised character animation
  • Experience in XR games
  • A working knowledge of Modelling, Rigging, and Mel/Python scripting
  • Previous experience working with motion capture data
  • A traditional animation and/or art background
  • Knowledge of human and animal anatomy as well as life drawing skills
