About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Oxwash. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maximum uptime and efficiency of our laundry equipment at our flagship site, Big Blue I.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks on the laundry equipment, as well as occasional maintenance activities at our other facilities. You will be responsible for regular servicing and planned preventative maintenance of the equipment, including commercial and industrial washing machines, tumble dryers, rotary irons, finishing and dosing machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report any defects to the maintenance and site managers that could impact operations.
  • Provide a core competency of engineering skills and be responsible for maintaining machinery/equipment/the facility to a high standard while striving to minimize issues.
  • Collaborate with external specialists where specific knowledge/skills are required to solve any issues with the hardware and plan for future installations with a maintenance mentality.
  • Manage stock levels of spare parts and order items which have reached the 'on-hand' limit.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed throughout the facility and improve processes over time.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified engineer with experience in electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Specialist knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and good electrical and mechanical competency.
  • Driving licence required to drive between facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and their functionality, having a working knowledge of the software behind them.
