About the Role

Catalent is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Swindon Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Site. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering effective PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and breakdown repairs to ensure the reliable supply of services to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance on production machinery in line with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Diagnose causes of, and repair equipment breakdowns, focusing on a "First Time Fix" methodology.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of plant downtime and embed a robust improvement philosophy within the engineering team.
  • Accurately complete all relevant operational documentation to a high standard.
  • Provide detailed handovers at the end of each shift when required.
  • Ensure all work complies with SOPs and site Health & Safety standards, as well as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Refurbish spare parts and other components.
  • Deliver greater plant reliability through effective engineering practices, aiming for sustainable greater uptime and reliability of plant and equipment.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician with a full-time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications. You will have extensive post-apprenticeship experience in an engineering role, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. Experience with Continuous Improvements, GMP, and team collaboration is highly desirable.
