Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a primary and secondary setting.
Located in Morpeth, Northumberland, this role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with a team that prioritizes student wellbeing and academic success.
About the Role:
- Support students with SEND in a collaborative and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for student engagement and motivation
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience working with students with SEND
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree in Education or related field (desired)
