School Teaching Assistant Opportunity

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and caring SEN teaching assistant to join our school in Morpeth.

About the Role

This is a welcoming school with a strong emphasis on pastoral care alongside quality academic education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young learners, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect with students of all abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Support learning and individual/group work
  • Assist in preparing learning materials
  • Care for the mental and physical well-being of students

Salary: £18-22 per hour (dependent on experience)

Requirements:
  • Experience assisting young learners (1:1 or small groups)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualified or 6 months' experience in education
  • Team Teach trained
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Calm and caring demeanor
  • Resilient and experienced with challenging behavior
