GB001 Marsh Ltd is a leading Managing General Agency (MGA) offering a wide range of commercial insurance products in the UK. We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team and contribute to our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite UK-based commercial risks, utilizing market-leading digital platforms to manage day-to-day trading and products.
- Liaise with brokers and colleagues to increase profitable relationships, both virtually and in person.
- Issue insurance policies, calculating premium rates and negotiating insurance terms and conditions with regional brokers.
- Work within the Commercial Combined team, alongside experienced Underwriters, to develop and maintain relationships with regional brokers, colleagues, and clients across the UK.
- Identify opportunities to offer solutions to existing client/broker accounts by evaluating applicant situations and circumstances and determining insurance risk.
- Communicate effectively with senior members of staff to ensure clarity and positive relationships across the business.
- Put clients and customers first by working within SLAs and ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times.
Requirements
- Insurance experience from an underwriting or broking background.
- Experience using digital trading platforms.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Desire to further or start a career in commercial insurance.
