About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team as a Senior Commercial Underwriter. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing complex risks across various business classes, including Motor Trade, Farm, Estates, and Commercial Select products.

As a Senior Commercial Underwriter, you will provide technical support to various stakeholders across the business, train, coach, and mentor less experienced team members, and contribute to the development of the department and its processes.

You will work collaboratively with our Agents, resolving complex referrals and ensuring effective management of the insurance risk cost while delivering the right solution and service for our members.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive new business underwriting experience across a variety of business classes, with a strong background in Property & Liability Commercial Underwriting within the mid-market space.

You will be a resilient individual with effective communication skills, able to establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, and have the ability and confidence to challenge and influence where necessary.

You will also have experience of coaching, mentoring, and training colleagues, and be able to make rational and logical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
