We are seeking an exceptional Theatre Operations Director to lead the General Management function of our London production office. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months based in London commencing in January/February 2025.

As Theatre Operations Director, you will oversee the effective and professional delivery and operation of productions. You will be responsible for negotiating and overseeing all contracts for commercial productions, securing creative teams, and controlling pre-production and running costs.

You will collaborate closely with other freelance Executive Producers, key stakeholders, and internal RSC colleagues across various departments. Your ability to stay solutions-focused when challenges arise, motivate people, and build strong relationships with artists, partners, and co-producers is essential.

This role requires significant leadership experience in a management position overseeing productions in commercial theatre. You should have strong negotiation and persuasion skills, as well as the capacity to understand artists' processes and establish excellent, trusting relationships with them.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the commercial theatre landscape and be able to navigate complex agreements. You will work closely with the casting team, production management, and design teams to ensure seamless production operations.

A competitive salary of £60,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role.
