Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to contribute to the development and well-being of children in a supportive educational environment at our vibrant Primary School in Leyland.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential teaching assistant support, focusing on aiding hard-to-reach children in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of educational activities and support sessions under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Engage proactively with students, encouraging participation and fostering positive behavior.
  • Support the social and emotional development of children, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure the well-being and progress of all students.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a youth worker or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them overcome challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in youth work or education are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
