About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and developing trusted relationships with current and potential clients, delivering financial planning and wealth management advice, and working within the context of an agreed business plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
- Monitor team performance, mentor, and support staff
- Lead a team
- Execute the annual Business Plan in line with agreed individual targets
- Build new client relationships and maintain and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to minimize attrition
- Structure and lead client meetings in a professional manner, ensuring all information and advice provided is up-to-date, technically accurate, and meets clients' needs
- Ensure clients have the right advice to achieve their financial objectives, considering factors such as retirement planning, inheritance, and tax efficiency
- Undertake client reviews at least annually in line with clients' changing risk attitudes and strategic requirements
- Work in partnership with Investment Management and Professional Services colleagues to develop client relationships
- Maintain the New Business Pipeline and ensure all values and dates are up-to-date
- Ensure comprehensive client records are kept and accurate and up-to-date at all times and in line with Group policy
Requirements
- Previous experience within a Financial Planning/Advisory role
- Experience of people management as a Team Leader
- Proven ability to deal with new and existing clients on a fee basis
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze client information and highlight requirements to make suitable recommendations
- Technical/product knowledge and effective communication of wide-ranging holistic financial planning strategies and solutions
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work
- Experience of operating within a risk management framework, with a thorough understanding of the risks and threats pertaining to a private client business
Qualifications
- Holds a minimum of a relevant level 4 qualification or above (aspiring for Level 7) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing
