Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Networks and Connections Manager at EngineeringUK in Southern England. We are looking for a highly skilled professional to lead our talented team and contribute to our mission of enabling net zero by connecting customers to our network.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy industry contracting and a proven track record in managing complex technical and financial concepts. They will be responsible for optimising the performance of the Connections Account Management team and owning key stakeholder relationships.

You will lead a team of Lead Connections Contract Managers and Connections Contract Managers, responsible for the efficient and accurate issuing of Standard License Condition 12 (SLC12) Connection Offers and subsequent contractual management.

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Connections Account Management team.
  • Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to ensure their views inform and shape continual improvements in our Connections service offering.
  • Managing a combined portfolio of 1500 projects, totalling 20GW and a financial value of circa £800m, driving wide-reaching and varied interactions.
  • Representing the connections business with stakeholders and industry specialist groups, including Ofgem, DNOs, business customers, trade associations, and governing bodies.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is around £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including competitive car/cash allowance, performance-related bonus, and other perks.
