Security Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team at Creditsafe. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced support on complex technical issues, including root cause analysis and security tooling used by the Security Operations team.
  • Participate in security incident investigations and exercises, providing feedback on improvements and tooling gaps.
  • Implement and manage cloud-native security tools, such as Microsoft Sentinel and AWS Security Hub, to ensure effective security monitoring and incident response.
  • Design, configure, and implement vulnerability management tooling for SAST, DAST, and IAST purposes, ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the secure deployment of applications and services.
  • Investigate zero-day vulnerability applicability and remediation or workaround approaches to lessen risk to infrastructure, applications, and data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in Cybersecurity or IT Infrastructure with a substantial security element.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Security Services, AWS Security Services, and cloud-native security tools.
  • Experience with vulnerability management scanning tooling, such as BurpSuite Enterprise or Rapid7 InsightVM/InsightAppSec.
  • Experience in scoping penetration tests and designing, configuring, and implementing SIEM solutions and integrations.
Desired Skills:
  • Pipeline scanning tooling, such as Dastardly, Snyk, or Wiz.
  • Microsoft E5 tooling, including DLP, Defenders for Endpoint, Cloud, CloudApp, and Identity.
  • Experience with network security, firewall management, and secure cloud architecture.
  • In-depth experience with IAM, encryption technologies, and data protection in cloud ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance frameworks, such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and SOC 2.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and security integration in DevOps.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python and PowerShell.
  • Certifications, such as CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or CompTIA Security+.
