Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Receptionist to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the switchboard and public address/paging systems to ensure efficient communication within the hospital.
  • Participate in various emergency procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
  • Receive and register patients, processing accounts receivable and handling cash transactions.
  • Perform clerical duties, including typing, compiling, and distributing documents, and completing data entry for admissions and patient counts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • A current Typing Test of 45 nwpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution
  • Proof of Medical Terminology (complete certificate or course)
  • One year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work
