About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineering Programme Manager to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. As a key member of our Traffic and Active Travel team, you will be responsible for managing a programme of engineering projects through their life cycle, ensuring successful delivery that offers value for money, safe and sustainable solutions, and achieves targets set.

About the Team

You will form part of a dynamic team responsible for managing a programme of engineering projects, working closely with in-house and external designers and stakeholders to deliver projects that provide outcomes that achieve project and council objectives. Your ability to lead, motivate, and supervise members of staff at all levels has resulted in high-performing teams and exceptional customer satisfaction.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in and a commitment to road safety and sustainability, with a track record of experience of bidding for project funding. You will have experience working in collaboration with all key stakeholders, contractors, building and nurturing relationships to ensure seamless communication. Your ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, using your prior experience in highway and traffic engineering design and project management, is essential.
