About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Traffic and Active Travel team at Gloucestershire County Council as a Traffic Engineering Programme Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a programme of engineering projects through their life cycle, ensuring successful delivery that offers value for money, safe and sustainable solutions, and achieves targets set.
  • Work closely with in-house and external designers and stakeholders to deliver projects that provide outcomes that achieve project and council objectives.
  • Be responsible for programme, risk, and budget management, ensuring the delivery of the programme within time and budget.
  • Play a key role in working with colleagues to bid for funding and develop a sustainable and forward-thinking approach to highways management.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who has a keen interest in and a commitment to road safety and sustainability. You will have a track record of experience in highway and traffic engineering design and project management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and supervise members of staff at all levels.

You will have experience working in collaboration with all key stakeholders, contractors, and building and nurturing relationships to ensure seamless communication. Your ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and use your prior experience to deliver high-performing teams and exceptional customer satisfaction is essential.
