Property Maintenance Manager

Catershaw Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Property Maintenance Manager to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the maintenance function, providing a reactive and proactive multi-skilled service on all operational equipment and hotel infrastructure.
- Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.
- Identify and implement improvements plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements are met.
- Manage and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, providing technical expertise and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
- Produce monthly reports for hotel General Manager and regional Technical Manager.
- Complete monthly team meetings and carry out duty management shifts.
- Maintain professional and technical partnerships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage customer relations with guests, staff, and suppliers to enable early identification and timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and guests.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and inspect works to ensure compliance with required standards and performance targets.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the hotel and ensure risk and method statements are reviewed annually.
- Identify and rectify potentially hazardous situations and manage relationships with government representatives.
- Manage relationships and procedure timely reports for AccorInvest and Accor Health & Safety teams.
- Chair Health & Safety committee meetings and produce minutes.
- Identify and implement Environmental initiatives and manage utility costs.
- Complete monthly energy records and reports.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate projects and maintenance works, including budgets.
- Project Management skills with the capability to engage effectively with professional, technical, and other service delivery partners.
- Deliver small-scale projects (P%L) including lifecycle works, ensuring performance, quality levels are met throughout, and risks to delivery are treated in a timely manner.
- Produce information, analysis, and reports to ensure line management is informed of project/work progress, problems, and agreed resolutions.
- Competent negotiator able to maximise delivery and achieve best value from the supply chain.
- Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance team members.
- Manage, coach, and mentor high-performing and autonomous maintenance teams.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the teams.
- Complete departmental performance reviews and allocate the appropriate Human Resources.
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.
- Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within the area of accountability.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Qualifications.
- Transport essential.
