We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Transitional Support Worker with Tameside Council.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves working 37 hours per week, engaging with young people, conducting needs assessments, and developing tailored plans to help them achieve their aspirations.

You will provide support for accessing education, training, employment, and community-based activities, liaise with external agencies, and deliver group sessions that promote personal growth and community involvement.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care of Children and Young People, Adult Social Care, or equivalent is essential
  • Proven experience working with Cared-for Children and families is a must
  • Familiarity with Child Protection policies and procedures is also required
