Aerospace Assembly Specialist Job Description

Workshop Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Aerospace Assembly Specialist to join their team in the Havant area.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced individual to work on complex components, assembling and disassembling aerospace parts, and conducting thorough inspections to ensure high-quality results. The successful candidate will be working in our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) team, based at our site in Havant.

The role involves various tasks, including:

  • Assembling, disassembling, and rebuilding hydraulic Line Replacement Units (LRUs)
  • Performing visual inspections and identifying defective items according to established procedures
  • Utilizing hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, Arbor press, vices, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, flow meters, multi-meters, test boxes, or specialized test equipment as needed
  • Proficiently interpreting and using drawings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in detail manufacturing, specifically assembling complex components

Previous experience in the aerospace industry would be advantageous, but not essential. You should have a strong engineering background with knowledge of various hand and power tools, inspection equipment, and relevant safety procedures.

Benefits

This is a full-time position with a 37-hour week, working core day shift. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate. The salary for this role is £13.51 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals with the right skills and experience.

Schedule and Work Location

The working schedule is Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime. The role is based in person at our workshop in the Havant area.
