About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Specialist Dietitian to join our team in East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nutritional advice and care to patients in surgical and critical care settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based dietetic plans and protocols for patients in surgical and critical care settings.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of dietetic services and protocols.
  • Supervise and mentor junior dietitians and dietetic assistant practitioners.
  • Participate in audit and research projects to improve clinical outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
  • BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or relevant degree with postgraduate diploma in dietetics.
  • Health Professions Council registration for dietetics.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and supervising junior staff.
  • Knowledge of clinical audit and research principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
