About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Specialist Critical Care Dietitian to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nutritional advice and care to patients in surgical and critical care settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based dietetic plans and protocols for patients in surgical and critical care settings.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  • Conduct audits and research to improve clinical outcomes and develop the role and service.
  • Provide education and training to staff on dietetic management of patients in surgical and critical care settings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for patients.

Person Specification
  • BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or relevant degree with postgraduate diploma in dietetics.
  • Health Professions Council registration for dietetics.
  • Trained in facilitated learning for undergraduate practice placements.
  • BDA membership.
  • Membership of a BDA Interest Group.
  • Postgraduate training in relevant specialty.
