About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Nursery People. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children from birth to 5 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of the children in your care, creating a nurturing environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and social growth.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and daily activities, and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Curriculum Development: Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote children's cognitive, social, and physical development, including organizing and leading activities, games, and educational experiences.
  • Assessment and Record-Keeping: Regularly observe and assess each child's development, behaviour, and needs, keeping detailed records and sharing progress with parents and caregivers during parent-teacher meetings.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff, as well as the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
  • Nursery Administration: Proficiency in nursery administration, including record-keeping, budget management, and policy development.
  • Teamwork: The capability to work effectively with a diverse team of educators and support staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
