**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced SEND specialist teacher to join our team at a specialist school in Walsall. As a SEND specialist teacher, you will work closely with students who have a range of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, physical disabilities, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to provide holistic care and education.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure accessibility for all students.
  • Follow school policies on safeguarding, behaviour management, and individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Build strong relationships with students to encourage progress in both academic and personal development.

**Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEND in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
