Job Title: Lead Sports Coach

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the school age Athletics Programme which is delivered in the Regional Performance Centre. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and dynamic casual coaches to lead sessions which engage children.

As a Sports Coach, you will lead in the teaching/coaching of a variety of client groups of varying ability. You will lead the delivery of a progressive and developmental programme, maintaining and updating participant records, checking all teaching equipment and ensuring that a safe and comfortable environment is provided at all times.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Athletics coaching, experience working with children from a variety of backgrounds, and excellent organisational and planning skills. You must also have the ability to work in a team, work independently, and communicate effectively with children and young people.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Leisure and Culture Dundee.
