About the RoleThe Research & Innovation Development Office is responsible for supporting colleagues across Anglia Ruskin University in fostering world-leading and impactful research, innovation, and knowledge exchange activities. We are seeking an experienced professional to take on this research support role and help deliver on external income generation targets and proactively engage with ARU's commitment to research excellence. Working with multiple internal stakeholders, at all levels, including both academic and professional colleagues, and from a range of disciplines, you will play a critical role in planning and managing funding applications to external funders. This role requires a deep understanding of Health and Social Care/Business and Law research expertise and aspiration, various funding landscapes, grant writing, and compliance with possible training delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and submission of research funding applications to external funders
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify and pursue research opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with external funders and stakeholders
- Provide research support and guidance to colleagues across the university
- Contribute to the development of research strategies and plans
- Education to a degree level minimum
- Demonstrable experience in supporting or assessing research funding applications at an HEI or funding body
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Highly organized, customer-focused, and able to prioritize a busy workload
- Good understanding of full economic costing and research costing systems
- Ability to work well under pressure to deliver to tight deadlines
