About the RoleThe Research & Innovation Development Office at ARU is responsible for supporting colleagues in fostering world-leading and impactful research, innovation, and knowledge exchange activities. We are seeking an experienced professional to take on this research support role and help deliver on external income generation targets and proactively engage with ARU's commitment to research excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting colleagues in planning and managing funding applications to external funders
- Working with multiple internal stakeholders, including academic and professional colleagues, to deliver research excellence
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of Health and Social Care/Business and Law research expertise and aspiration
- Staying up-to-date with various funding landscapes, grant writing, and compliance with training delivery
- Education to a degree level minimum
- Demonstrable experience in supporting or assessing research funding applications at an HEI or funding body
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Highly organized, customer-focused, and able to prioritize a busy workload
- Good understanding of full economic costing and research costing systems
