CK Group, a leading recruitment agency, is partnering with a rapidly growing biotech company to find a talented Scientist to support the delivery of their R&D objectives.

The successful candidate will be based at the company's site in Canary Wharf, London, on a permanent basis.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist to join our team. As a key member of the R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analysing in vitro experiments to deliver high-quality work packages.

Your primary focus will be on supporting the development of novel biologics, including monospecific and multi-specific antibodies, through assay development and optimisation.

In addition to your scientific expertise, you will also contribute to the smooth running of the laboratory, perform cell culture, bank cell lines, and isolate primary immune cells from whole blood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and analyse in vitro experiments to deliver high-quality work packages.
  • Support assay development and data package delivery for both immunology and translational focused assays.
  • Contribute to the development of complex co-culture assays to explore functional and phenotypic responses of novel therapeutic antibodies.
  • Generate data and present findings to the wider team on a regular basis.
  • Support the delivery of R&D objectives by proactively contributing to the team's efforts.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a PhD in a relevant biological discipline or MSc in Immunology or Cell Biology, with at least three years of relevant laboratory-based experience.

A strong background in immunology research across a range of immune cell subtypes is essential, with expertise in innate immunology specifically gamma delta T cell biology being advantageous.

Experience working in a company setting, preferably in biotech or pharma, is strongly preferred.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
