Job Overview

As a skilled and experienced Reception Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing management and team leadership for the Reception/UTC Team at University Hospitals Dorset.

The successful candidate will ensure reception areas are staffed appropriately by providing rotas at least three months in advance, to guarantee adequate reception cover for the service.

You will work closely with the Reception Manager to propose changes and implement policy changes, as well as train and develop staff in all areas of reception.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support to the Reception Team at all times
  • Ensure that all patients' demographic details are accurate and meet the essential data quality guidelines
  • Train and manage new receptionists in all aspects of the reception role
  • Manage and oversee system issues involving other parties
  • Conduct return to work interviews and maintain accurate staff sickness records
  • Work with the Reception Manager to ensure adequate reception cover for the service
  • Assist the Reception Manager in proposing changes and implementing policy changes

Requirements:

  • A good level of general education
  • Experience of clerical duties in an office/administration environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in using IT/computer skills
  • Able to respond to a range of people in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
