As a seasoned professional in trust management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a portfolio of trust clients. Kreston Reeves currently provides comprehensive services to over 300 trusts, estates, probates, small private charities, individual clients, and their families, as well as family office type administrative services.

You will collaborate with the London Trust Team, other departments such as Personal Tax, and interact with clients, HMRC, solicitors, stockbrokers, and other professional bodies.

About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in trust management, estate planning, and probate administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing client trust, estate, and probate work (returns and accounts)
  • Preparing IHT and CGT forms as required
  • Advising clients on trust wind-ups, income distributions, and tax payments
  • Maintaining awareness of budget and notifying senior team members if tasks are taking longer than expected
  • Monitoring work progress and ensuring adequate communication with clients and colleagues
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes
  • Developing technical skills through training courses, research, and staying up-to-date with legislative changes and HMRC policy
  • Ensuring registration of trusts with the TRS (new and existing) and handling client ID documents
  • Supporting the trust team in delivering incremental fee targets
Requirements

We are seeking candidates with:

  • 1-3 years' experience in trust work
  • STEP membership or willingness to study for the qualification
  • Accountancy or tax qualifications (full study package provided)
  • Probate and estate experience (training will be given)
Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
