Job Title: Commissioning Engineer - Water Infrastructure Specialist

Our client, a leading UK construction and infrastructure company, is seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to manage the commissioning process for mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems on high-impact water infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will ensure all systems are fully commissioned to meet client specifications, contributing to the successful and timely delivery of projects.

This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and performance of key infrastructure across the Thames Valley region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review tender documentation and ensure systems are ready for commissioning.
  • Lead commissioning reviews at the design stage, including reviewing M&E specifications, drawings, and schematics.
  • Prepare and execute detailed commissioning plans and strategies, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams, clients, consultants, and services sub-contractors to ensure commissioning is completed to the highest standards.
  • Attend commissioning meetings and provide progress reports, highlighting any potential issues.
  • Visit project sites to ensure that systems are ready for commissioning and sign-off.
  • Facilitate client and consultant system demonstrations, ensuring successful handovers.
  • Address and resolve any commissioning or snagging issues during and after project completion.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Proactive, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong IT literacy, especially in documentation and reporting tools.
  • SMSTS qualification and relevant CSCS card are essential.
  • Willingness to travel across the Thames Valley Region.
