The role of Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Reconstructive Scientist at Woodrow Mercer Healthcare Limited involves delivering a high-quality technical service for maxillofacial, restorative dental, and orthodontic patients referred by consultants. This 6-month contract is based in Oxfordshire and offers an hourly rate between £38-£42. The ideal candidate will lead the digitisation of the laboratory and oversee all work produced within the setting of the Maxillofacial Laboratory.

Responsibilities include line management of the maxillofacial laboratory team, identifying training needs, staff development, recruitment to vacancies, and managing the laboratory's budget. Additionally, the successful candidate will be an authorised signatory for invoicing users of the service and responsible for the procurement of consumables and equipment used in the laboratory.

Key objectives of the role include ensuring departmental staff acquire necessary mandatory in-house training, designing and manufacturing prototype devices and medical equipment through collaboration and research with other departments, and coordinating analysis of pre- and post-treatment orthodontic study casts to confirm that treatment outcomes meet national standards.
