Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH). As a Prosthetic Service Provider, you will work closely with our clinical and technical teams to deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, delivering, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting prostheses as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with complex conditions, including those with co-existing medical conditions, referred by consultants, GPs, and allied health professionals.
  • Prosthetic Management: Manage patient cases, ensuring individual needs are respected, and providing clear explanations of proposed interventions.
  • Component Knowledge: Maintain good knowledge of available components and understand their function.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with Technicians, Consultants, Management, and Administration to ensure effective management of clinical time, patient waiting lists, and delivery times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualification: HCPC registered Prosthetist/Orthotist with post-graduate experience preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to ensure effective patient care delivery.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of Micro-processor knees and Multi-articulation hands is advantageous.
