About the Role

PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income with a deep understanding of public and private markets. We invest our clients' capital across a range of fixed income and credit opportunities, leveraging our decades of experience navigating complex debt markets.

We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Income Strategist to join our MSFI ETF team in London. This individual will have the opportunity to set the business strategy and identify demand for new products, significantly contributing to the growth of PIMCO's strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong partnership with the portfolio management teams to serve as a credible and highly effective PM substitute, providing expert advice to relationship managers and marketers
  • Set the business strategy for ETFs and develop, position, and support new solutions
  • Represent PIMCO's multi-sector products externally at client meetings, industry conferences, and meetings with other market participants in Europe
  • Develop marketing, servicing, and educational materials to promote PIMCO's expertise and thought leadership
  • Work with investors and their advisors to identify and assess investment needs and recommend suitable investment strategies and solutions

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in asset management or the sell-side industry as a Product Strategist
  • Robust understanding of macroeconomics and fixed income fundamentals
  • Aptitude in analyzing and communicating portfolio strategy and risk factors
  • Enthusiasm for the financial markets, investment management, and ETFs
  • Understanding of the various channels of demand and distribution for fixed income products
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for public speaking in both formal and informal settings, in front of a variety of types and sizes of audiences
