Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Composite Design Engineer to join our team at Aston Martin F1 Team. As a key member of our Composite Design group, you will be responsible for the design, testing, and development of composite components for our high-performance vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design schemes for composite components, assemblies, and associated tooling
  • Collaborate with the Lead Engineer to deliver projects efficiently and on time
  • Work with other Composite Design groups to ensure optimal design, manufacturing, and performance of components
  • Contribute to the development of new design concepts and improve existing ones
  • Participate in meetings and provide input on design and development projects
  • Maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and stay up-to-date with the latest composite design techniques
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in producing high-level design schemes and detailed drawings of complex CFRP assemblies
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, preferably with knowledge of CATIA and solid and surfacing modeling techniques
  • Basic working knowledge of CFRP component design, including material selection, laminate specification manual creation, and cure and bond requirements
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment, communicate effectively, and progress multiple projects concurrently
