About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Care in Mind, a leading provider of residential services for young people aged 16-30 years old. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our 5-bed service in Fulwood, Preston.

Job Responsibilities

As a Deputy Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager in the management of the service, including planning rotas and conducting supervisions
  • Assisting the team with their learning and development, ensuring all relevant training and inductions are completed
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including Nurses, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists
  • Supporting the young people in our care, including those with mental health diagnoses such as personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and self-harm
  • Managing budgets and resources, including staff recruitment and retention
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Minimum of 12 months supervisory management experience
  • Excellent understanding of mental health and the issues young people face
  • Full clean driving license and access to a car for work purposes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a staff team to achieve highest possible standards for the service, staff, and young people
