Clinical Deputy Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team at a leading nursing home in Derby. As a Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality of Care: Ensure that the highest quality of care is provided to Service Users based on person-centred care plans.
  • Staff Leadership: Lead, support, and train staff to help them reach their full potential.
  • Environment: Create a safe, respectful, and well-structured environment for both staff and residents.
  • Nursing Interventions: Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions while maintaining a high standard of clinical governance and effectiveness.
  • Team Meetings: Participate in clinical and multi-disciplinary team meetings.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a mental health environment is desirable.
  • Qualification: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Nursing Registration: Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) with a valid NMC registration.
  • Clinical Experience: Strong clinical experience and a passion for leading and supporting a diverse team.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety in care services and a commitment to fostering a harmonious working environment.
  • Relationship Building: Experience in building positive relationships with patients, their families, and other health and social care professionals.
