The role of the Senior Compliance Manager at the National Farmers Union (NFU) involves overseeing the team responsible for ensuring fair payments to sugar beet growers. This critical function is essential for maintaining trust and integrity in the industry.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of 16 seasonal staff
- Manage the review process when growers dispute their payments
- Ensure adherence to procedures and processes during the six-month campaign period

This operational role requires strong leadership skills, with experience in manufacturing environments and health and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills. Based at the largest British Sugar processing site, you will also travel regularly to other locations to support your team.

The working year is divided into two distinct halves. During the campaign period, you will focus on ensuring compliance with agreed procedures and managing disputes. Outside of this period, you will have more flexibility to work on other aspects of the NFU's agenda and expand your skillset.

- Proven experience in compliance or quality assurance roles within manufacturing
- Line management experience in an operational environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and think critically
