Your new company

Hays Construction and Property is seeking a skilled Project & Performance Engineer to join their team working on water schemes in the Shropshire area.

Your new role

As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance, liaising with subcontractors, site management and suppliers, maintaining good client relationships at all levels, monitoring subcontract performance, and ensuring all applications for payment are made on/before the due date.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance
  2. Liaising with subcontractors, site management and suppliers
  3. Maintaining good client relationships at all levels
  4. Monitoring subcontract performance
  5. Ensuring all applications for payment are made on/before the due date
  6. Assisting in the production of contract programmes, monitoring programmes as well as producing progress reports.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will have a basic engineering background (electrical and/or mechanical), working knowledge of NEC contracts, knowledge of water treatment processes, and CDM and health & safety knowledge.
