Senior Performance Specialist

D2 is a leading professional services business, delivering programme management capabilities to clients across the UK and Canada. We're seeking an experienced Senior Performance Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our high-profile infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop programme/project controls strategies and processes aligned to client and project requirements
  • Integrate and challenge planning, commercial, engineering, construction, and risk teams to develop and implement appropriate processes, data, and performance measurement techniques
  • Assure project baselines (scope, schedule, estimates, and risk) at various stages of the project lifecycle
  • Work with data analysts to develop forward-looking performance metrics and dashboards using tools such as MS Power BI
  • Identify trends, efficiencies, and opportunities for efficiencies using internal D2 benchmarking data tools and technologies such as Nodes and Links and nPlan
  • Communicate programme performance to stakeholders at all levels, adapting messaging to suit the stakeholder and their needs
  • Lead a team of project controls professionals driving a high-performing team focused on proactive actions
  • Provide innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence, including products and services development, to ensure time-efficient, exemplary quality outputs in terms of schedules, reporting, etc.
Requirements
  • Experience of programme/project controls on large multidisciplinary projects
  • Strong or developing understanding of at least one, but preferred many, of programme performance elements, including but not limited to, scope and change, cost engineering, planning, risk, benefits, data, and performance management
  • Experience of applying performance measurement techniques to the programme, including working knowledge of Primavera P6, Oracle Cloud, Acumen, and MS Power BI
  • Experience of working on UK infrastructure projects and of baseline management
