Job Description: Autism Teaching Assistant Specialist
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a Lovely Primary School in Tottenham, Haringey, to recruit a skilled Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant. This fulfilling position involves providing 1-1 support for children with Autism within a Year 3 class.
About the Role:
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that enables children with Autism to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Support pupils in developing their literacy skills, focusing on phonics to help them reach their full potential.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized education plans.
Requirements:
- Must have: Proven experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs in a school setting.
- A strong understanding of phonics and its application in primary education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
Estimated Salary: £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time, term time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
