We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to lead our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with our transport suppliers to ensure we receive the best service at the most cost-effective price.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage transportation operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to maintain efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor and optimise transport costs and performance to maintain transport margins.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Manage and lead a team of Transport Management Specialists to achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate with clients and suppliers to meet their transportation needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities and prepare reports.
  • Provide transport proposals for new business, including carrier system negotiations and implementation.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience in people management and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, logistics, and working with carrier insurance requirements.
  • Experience in leading RFQ's with potential new clients.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
