Job Title: RF Communications Systems Specialist

Location: Bristol, Corsham, Harrogate or Devonport + Hybrid Working

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

Role Type: Full time and Permanent

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Communications Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and system design ownership, collaborating with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and overseeing a small team of engineers producing detailed specifications, designs and other technical deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage engineering change to systems, deconflicting priorities as necessary.
  2. Lead engineering and system design delivery, collaborating with other SMEs and participating in requirements management, justification and decomposition.
  3. Generate detailed specifications, designs and other technical deliverables while working closely with peers to aid engineering change to systems applying control via adherence to process and decomposition of interfaces and studies between systems, sub-systems and functions.
  4. Lead operational engineering teams with in-service systems, troubleshooting technical faults and problem management.
  5. Participate in validation, verification, test and acceptance activities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of voice and data traffic handling and switching systems, VCCS (Voice Communications Control System) and ICCS (Integrated Communications Control System).
  • Voice and data comms technologies and protocols such as SIP/RTP, ED-, serial, IP and TDM.
  • System and solution architecture design and delivery experience.
