Construction Assurance Engineer (Highways and Drainage)

Scantec Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Construction Assurance Engineer to join our client's team. As a specialist in Highways and Drainage, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine permanent works for highways and drainage to certify they are constructed according to design data and Works Information.
  • Inspect, witness, and advise on tests; certify adequacy of works as required by the Quality Plan or contract.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards within the Client organization.
  • Review construction documentation, including Quality Plans, Work Package Plans (WPPs), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Raise and review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track issue resolution.
  • Conduct audits of EKFB's site Quality Management System (QMS) and construction assurance procedures.
  • Contribute to Quarterly Reports and report results and KPIs to the Construction Assurance Manager.
  • Ensure all permanent construction works comply with approved designs, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Review and implement Quality Plans, ITPs, and inspection procedures.
  • Ensure all client site-based staff and visitors are trained and inducted before working or visiting EKFB sites.
Requirements:
  • BSc/BEng in Civil or Highway Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Design and Build, particularly on highways and drainage projects, preferably in rail or similar linear projects.
