We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing construction projects from start to finish. This will involve communicating effectively with site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience in setting-out structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and manage construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  2. Communicate effectively with site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, and other stakeholders.
  3. Monitor and record delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods.
  4. Supervise and mentor assistant, trainee engineering, and technician staff.
  5. Ensure that Inspection and Test Plans and checklists are in place and followed at the appropriate stages.
  6. Complete daily diary records and ensure they are also being maintained by others under your supervision.
  7. Ensure written risk assessments and activity plans/method statements are in place prior to works commencing.
  8. Ensure that testing/sampling of materials is carried out as required by the specification.
  9. Contribute to the monthly and quarterly commercial forecast and reporting for your section of works.
  10. Ensure that material delivery tickets are passed to the section engineer for cost coding.
  11. Carry out testing/sampling of materials as required by the specification.
  12. Ensure that comprehensive records of all resources employed on additional works are maintained and submitted for signature within 24 hours of the work being carried out.
Experience & Knowledge:

  1. Proven experience of working with setting-out structures and civil engineering/building construction.
  2. Prior experience in Civil Engineering.
