Construction Engineering Manager

About the Role
EKFB, a joint venture of international leading civil engineering and construction companies, has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. As a Construction Engineering Manager, you will be part of this exciting project.
The successful candidate will assist with the construction strategy, including kick-off meetings, pre-commencement documentation, and construction programmes. You will liaise with the Project Manager to allocate labour, plant, materials, and temporary works to carry out activities to required standards, programme, and budget. Your responsibilities will also include managing the site engineering team and being responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers.
You will assist in coordinating construction operations, ensuring they conform to contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ). Additionally, you will help produce programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations, and cost control.
About You- A HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrate knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
- Experience working in Earthworks is necessary.
- Competencies: SMSTS, CSCS White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold – Supervisor must be held.
- A full driving license is required.
